HOW TO TAKE CAREOF YOUR LINGERIE
At InitialPure, we believe that well-made lingerie deserves thoughtful care. With proper storage and gentle handling, your favorite pieces can remain beautiful, comfortable, and long-lasting. Follow this guide to keep your lingerie looking and feeling its best.
Lingerie Storage
Proper storage helps preserve the shape, fabric, and delicate details of your lingerie — while keeping your wardrobe organized and effortless.
We recommend separating nighttime erotic lingerie from daytime lingerie. Items such as bodystockings, costumes, and accessories (including masks or crops) should have their own designated space. Drawer organizers or elegant storage boxes are ideal for maintaining order.

- Store chemises and corsets flat
- Hang peignoirs on hangers
- Lay bras flat, stacking them with cups facing upward to maintain shape
- Keep thongs and garter belts neatly arranged in a way that suits your routine
- Store stockings carefully to avoid snagging or stretching their delicate fibers
How to Wash Lingerie
Always check the care label before washing. Not all items are washable, and some accessories require special care.

Hand washing is the gentlest and most effective method:
- Use lukewarm water (20–30°C)
- Wash with similar colors
- Choose a mild, lingerie-safe detergent
- Gently agitate — never rub or wring
If machine washing is necessary:
- Select an ultra-delicate cycle
- Place items in a mesh laundry bag
- Avoid washing with heavy garments
Wash lingerie before first wear, and always wash matching sets together to maintain consistent color. Treat stains as soon as possible - gentle methods such as cold water soaking or mild soap often work best. Always test stain removers on an inconspicuous area first.
And remember - lingerie is made to be worn. Enjoy it often, not just on special occasions.
Drying
After washing, gently squeeze out excess water or wrap the lingerie in a dry towel several times. Avoid using a tumble dryer, and refrain from drying your lingerie in direct sunlight or on radiators. The optimal method is to lay it flat on a traditional clothes dryer, with a towel underneath. Alternatively, hang bras by placing the bridge between the cups on a washing line or rod. Avoid hanging lingerie by the straps, as this can cause unnecessary stretching. Peignoirs should be dried immediately on a clothes hanger.
Ironing
If needed, use a steamer or an iron on the lowest temperature setting, always ironing on the reverse side to avoid shine or damage.
For a more eco-friendly approach, ironing can often be skipped. Gently shake garments after washing, reshape them carefully, and allow them to air dry naturally.
A Thoughtful Approach
Proper care extends the life of your lingerie and reduces unnecessary waste. For small issues, consider simple repairs instead of discarding your garments.
By caring for your lingerie with intention, you care not only for your wardrobe — but also for the planet.
